Her first thought: "Who are you?"
It's the morning after her cousin's bachelorette party in Vegas and Megan Scott wakes up with the mother of all hangovers. Even worse, she's in a stranger's penthouse having woken up with something else as well—a funny, arrogant, sexy…husband!
Up until now, finding even a boyfriend had seemed impossible—been there, got the broken heart, sworn off men for good. Then a few martinis with Carter…no, Connor Reed and she's gone from first meet to marriage in one night!
Megan wants a lawyer. But Connor's shocking bombshell?
"I don't want a divorce."
Now and again my hardness slips when a rare, but magical book floors me. Tears are extremely rare and kept for only the most beautiful or heartbreaking stories possible. So when I'm casually lying in bed at 3am reading waking up married, and I feel my lip tremble, my smile slide, my heart lurch and a sorrow deep inside for the picture my mind has just conjured up from the description given. I know that this book is something special. If it can capture my emotions without me realising until its too late that I'm falling in deep with the words I'm reading, then without a doubt this book is a magical one.
If I left this review at this statement alone, my more frequent readers and followers will know that this is a book not to be missed.
Waking up married captures love and relationships in such a whirlwinding, fireworking, catastrophic, way that you are kept guessing and on the edge of your seat for the entire time you are reading it. Getting both thoughts from Megan and Connor really works well for this story as it pushes it deeper into your heart.
Loved it I did :)
Thank you Harlequin for sending me and allowing me to review such a wonderful book.
Buy it, it's a love story from hell with a tiny erotic twist and will leave you with a heart full of warmth. Brilliant.
(I know fireworking and whirlwinding aren't real words.)
