They were teenage sweethearts from opposite sides of the tracks - with a passion that would change their lives forever. But life would force them apart.

Years later, the lines between past and present are about to slip . . .

Called back to their hometown for the funeral of the mentor who gave them shelter when they needed it most, they are faced with each other once again. Can true love ever rewrite the past?

Review:

When a book flows so tender with a story deep, meaningful and completely sincere, you know that it is something that you will cherish forever. It is very rare we come across books like this, so when we do we know we're needed to share it with others. The Best of Me is not a new book, but I am sure a lot of people will have not read it. All I urge you to do before you hear about this amazing new film that's been released with the same name is to read the book first. I promise you it will be more than worth it.

If there is a book that reads as beautiful than this, then I am yet to find it. It is a book I took in at first half heartedly, but soon was emerged in love, gratification, need and want so deep it had me by the soul. A book about the real meaning of your one true love. The real meaning of family, and the real meaning of how it's dealt with.

A normal review for me would not hold out for this read. I cannot sit here and write my thoughts like I should because I'm far too overwhelmed to do that. That may be a cop out, I don't know. All I know is this is a book that will take you to a place of beautiful wild flowers, love so strong it hurts, family insecurities and evil, and have you enthralled by a story about one man who had found that one true love.

More than amazing!
