Secrets of a Chalet Girl - Lorraine Wilson

Source: Author request

Set in the exclusive Swiss ski resort of Verbier, the winter playground of the rich and famous, Secrets of a Chalet Girl is the second book in Lorraine Wilson’s fabulous Ski Season series.

I was so excited when I found out the next book in the chalet Girl series by Lorraine Wilson was available to download that I jumped straight into it.

We're back in Verbia for Holly and Scott's (book 1) wedding. We meet new chalet girl Flora who's out trying to forget her dark past and make a new life for herself.

OK, so I'm a bit unsure if I liked Secrets of a chalet girl or not. I'm going to have to read it again and see. It seemed to jump ahead a few times which made it feel rushed. I liked the back stories to the characters and how Lorraine still has that easy charm in her writing and isn't afraid to take risks. I just think I would have liked it to be a bit longer so we could get more emotion in it and extra raw heartache. That would have had me dragged completely in instead of half heartily if you know what I mean.

I will definitely be reading again, but for now I have to be honest and say I was a bit disappointed. Don't let that put you off though, as I've said the plot is a good one and yes it might be a bit rushed to me, but you might like that. Also, it's a short story so of course it has to be a bit fast.
