Blurb:

Holly James is looking for her big break. A young journalist for BritTEEN magazine, she is dying to write about something more meaningful than pop stars and nail varnish. So when she spots a homeless teenager outside the office, she feels compelled to tell her story. But her evil boss Sasha has other ideas…

Holly is sent to interview a city solicitor she has never heard of. But Alex Barrington turns out to be the very opposite of fusty and boring and Holly’s interest struggles to stay strictly professional!

With Sasha sabotaging her every move, and her story about teens on the street leading her into London’s dark underworld, Holly is chasing both love and success at the same time.

But happy endings like that only happen in books don’t they…?

Review:

First of all how gorgeous is that cover? I love it.

Love and Liability follows BritTeen Magazine journalist Holly James as she fights her way through sabotage at work by her boss. Straight away you are put into a sense of mystery and surprise. A fast heart best and need for more instantly takes place. This is only the prologue too so if you're anything like me you will have doubts that a book can keep up with such a fantastic prologue.

I really did hope I was wrong, but unfortunately I wasn't. Don't get me wrong I enjoyed the book, I really did, but there were a few little niggles that threw me. Obvious scenes and a few bland characters, not enough smoothness to each chapter. I feel awful saying that, but I have to be truly honest. The good though was its fantastic plot, relaxing manner and heroine Holly is an absolute sweetheart. You do get a bit of suspense too during the end of the book which helps balance out the good from the bad.

As a series book it follows on perfectly and can also stand alone as a book just to read.

Homelessness, sex trafficking, Michelin stars, jealousy and love.
